Kat Fields is the cohost of a small--okay, very small--podcast on the supernatural in Texas. Right before her Spring break from her freshman year of college, she receives an email urging her to check out "devil lights" in the small town of Estrella Roja. Quickly, her research into Estrella Roja intrigues her enough to head out--sans her trusty best friend and cohost--and seek the truth. Meanwhile, Marisol “Mari” Castillo has returned to Estrella Roja for the funeral of her grandmother and things are not quite what she expected. She feels like her family is hiding something form her and when she runs into Kat she is inspired to investigate that notion further.
