Murder in the Dressing Room by Holly Stars

Misty Divine is a well-known drag queen performing at fellow drag queen (and Misty's drag mother) Lady Lady's bar. That's what she's most famous for as, by day, Misty Divine is Joe. Joe is a hotel accountant, following the rules of their dreary job. They do have bright spots in their life--like their wonderful boyfriend Miles. But as Misty Divine, Joe gets to perform and have glimpses of the spotlight. But then, Misty gets an extra dose of fame she didn't ask for: finding Lady Lady dead. Poisoned by a mysterious box of chocolates. And in an incredibly expensive stolen dress. Misty quickly finds herself both an amateur sleuth and an official suspect.

Drag stand-up comedian and author Holly Stars has crafted a delightful, dare I even say, fabulous cozy murder mystery. Joe and Misty are both lovable and easy to root for. Readers will cheer as Joe learns bit by bit from Misty and Misty gets closer and closer to finding a catburgler and, more importantly, a murderer.

The ending leaves just enough of a mystery dangling to provide an arc for what is sure to be a standout series.
