Judging books by their covers, 5

Just want to share some books whose covers I love! Once every 4 weeks, I'll post 4 books and super short synopses of books whose covers catch my eye.

  1. Bull Moon Rising by Ruby Dixon (Penguin Publishing Group, 2024): The start of a brand-new steamy series from Ruby Dixon, one woman marries a minotaur to restore her family's legacy — and begins falling for him in the process.
  2. First Man: Reimagining Matthew Henson by Simon Schwartz (Graphic Universe ™, 2015): In this graphic novel, Simon Schwartz weaves biography and fiction together to explore the life of Arctic adventurer Matthew Henson.
  3. Summerlong by Peter S. Beagle (Tachyon Publications, 2016): Beloved author Peter S. Beagle (The Last Unicorn) returns with this long-anticipated new novel, a beautifully bittersweet tale of passion, enchantment, and the nature of fate.
  4. My Sister, the Serial Killer: A Novel by Oyinkan Braithwaite (Vintage, 2018): Korede’s sister Ayoola is many things: the favorite child, the beautiful one, possibly sociopathic. And now Ayoola’s third boyfriend in a row is dead, stabbed through the heart with Ayoola’s knife.
