Highly Suspicious and Unfairly Cute by Talia Hibbert
Celine Bangura is TikTok famous--well kind of--for her conspiracy videos. She has a great friend, great sister, great mother, and, above all else, a great plan for her future. Celine will become the best corporate lawyer in the country and then her dad--who abandoned her, her sister, and her mother about ten years ago--will finally feel sorry. Celine has a plan to get there too: compete and win a prestigious survival course run by one of her law heroes. When her ex-best friend and current rival in most things, Bradley Graeme, gets into the same survival course, Celine has to adjust her plans for obliterating Bradley a bit--after all, the course emphasizes teamwork.
Bradley hadn't originally planned on applying for the course, but after an accident, he had taken Celine to an information session about it, and the words "full scholarship" perked up his ears. Bradley seems to have it all already though: a loving family with parents who are together and a spot in the in-crowd. However, while much better managed than previously, his OCD still troubles him at times and something about Celine just keeps irking him.
When Celine and Bradley are thrown together in the woods, they find ways to confront each other, their past, and their futures. Highly Suspicious and Unfairly Cute by Talia Hibbert is a sweet YA romance with some steamy moments. The book feels authentic and avoids some trope traps that many other books fall victim to.
