Holly Quick Backlist Reviews, Bookman!: Week 65

Just to get through some backlog of books I've read, I'll post 4 super short reviews of backlist titles every Wednesday.

1. A Clash of Kings by George R. R. Martin (Bantam, 1999): Hard to put down. 4 stars.
2. A Game of Thrones by George R. R. Martin (Bantam, 1996): Great start to an epic series. 4 stars.
3. A History of the World in 100 Objects by Neil MacGregor (Viking, 2011): Beautiful and poignant. 5 stars.
4. Redwall by Brian Jacques (Author) and Gary Chalk (Illustrator) (Philomel, 1986): I found it very odd. It got really dark at times, but was pretending it wasn't dark because the characters were animals.  I also got uncomfortable by how the other species were often described. 3 stars.
