Holly Quick Backlist Reviews, Bookman!: Week 67
Just to get through some backlog of books I've read, I'll post 4 super short reviews of backlist titles every Wednesday.
- Anne of Green Gables by Lucy Maud Montgomery (L.C. Page & Co., 1908): Charming. 4 stars.
- Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal by Christopher Moore (William Morrow, 2002): If you don't mind a book that pokes fun at religion and has ample sex jokes then this is the book for you. 4 stars.
- The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafon (Author) and Lucia Graves (Translator) (Penguin Press, 2004): I loved it. Part of the ending is a little cheesy, but not overwhelmingly so I highly recommend it. 5 stars.
- Stupid History: Tales of Stupidity, Strangeness, and Mythconceptions Throughout the Ages by Leland Gregory (Andrews McMeel Publishing, 2007): I highly recommend it. It's hilarious and interesting. 5 stars.
