Theodore is a two-toed sloth, and he wants to win a race. He begins to train and thinks he has accomplished a great victory, but finds out the supposed opponent was not even aware that they were in a race. Initially feeling defeated, Theodore then meets a fellow sloth who helps pick Theodore up and continue his quest. Educational information and activities round out this delightful picture book.

Theodore, the Sloth Who Wants to Race is a picture book intended for young readers aged 5 to 10, but it will amuse those reading aloud as well. Packed with rhymes and a sense of humor, authors Dr. Sam and J. L. McCreedy have created an entertaining tale. The rhymes are often clever, and the jokes are sure to bring smiles all around.
