Mistlefoe by Kimberly Lemming

Ruby's dad has managed to get cursed by the local fox demon. Once the go-to blacksmith, he now has raunchy and foul-mouthed talking--that's right talking--weaponry and no one wants them. Determined to right things, Ruby sets off with one of the talking weapons--a sword named Alexis--to find this fox demon. She hopes a gift basket and a formal apology will right things.

The last thing she expects is for the fox demon, Lucca, to not only be an incredibly gorgeous man, but a man who needs a woman to pretend to be his date at a winter festival hosted by a dragon lord so he can secure his claim on his territory. Go along with this little charade, he assures, and Ruby's father will have all the ore he desires. Their act immediately escalates to incredible sex--often publicly.

As things build to a sort of climactic game, Lucca and Ruby must fend off a few foes and find a way to express their feelings.

Fast-paced, explicit, and a wicked good time, Mistlefoe by Kimberly Lemming is a fantastically fun novella in the Mead Mishaps series.
