While I knew some would likely be familiar to all—such as a flamingo—I knew some would be less recognizable—like a tapir—and still some others were completely new to me—like a numbat. Having an animal surprise me in a children’s book is a delightful detail that I’m sure many others would share in as we adults like to think of ourselves as animal experts to young kids, but clearly, we all have more to learn!

The artwork in Let’s Meet Some Unique Rainforest Animals! is brilliantly colorful. This will surely get a young reader’s attention. The style is also a bit cartoonish which is quite relatable to early readers. Personally, a bit more detail in the art would have been welcome as a tad more intricacy could engage readers even more—especially slightly older ones.
