Holly Quick Backlist Reviews, Bookman!: Week 16

Just to get through some backlog of books I've read, I'll post 4 super short reviews of backlist titles every Wednesday.

  1. My Sister, the Serial Killer: A Novel by Oyinkan Braithwaite (Doubleday, 2018): A beautifully written, engrossing, and thought-provoking book. Though chapters appear out of order, readers will not be confused5 stars.
  2. Runaways: Volumes 1-7 by Brian K. Vaughan (writer) and Adrian Alphona (artist) (Marvel, 2004): Fast-paced and engrossing, this series contains cheering and tear-jerking moments. 5 stars.
  3. The Blackhouse by Peter May (SilverOak, 2012): A murder mystery on a remote island filled with forgotten loves and traumas. 4 stars.
  4. Talking with Female Serial Killers - A chilling study of the most evil women in the world by Christopher Berry-Dee (John Blake Publishing Ltd, 2018): A fascinating topic, executed poorly. 2 stars.
