Holly Quick Backlist Reviews, Bookman!: Week 7

Just to get through some backlog of books I've read, I'll post 4 super short reviews of backlist titles every Wednesday.

  1. Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman (William Morrow, 1990):  A humorous take on an end-of-the-world tale. However, some outdated language sours the experience. 3 stars.
  2. When I Arrived at the Castle by Emily Carroll (Koyama Press, 2019): A bewitching and haunting graphic novella. 5 stars.
  3. The Sentence by Louise Erdrich (Harper, 2021): An absorbing story that focuses on what it means to be haunted. 5 stars.
  4. Boys Enter the House: The Victims of John Wayne Gacy and the Lives They Left Behind by David Nelson (Chicago Review Press, 2021): A sobering and insightful exploration of the victims of Gacy and their surviving families. 5 stars.
