Holly Quick Backlist Reviews, Bookman!: Week 4
Just to get through some backlog of books I've read, I'll post 4 super short reviews of backlist titles every Wednesday.
- Martian Ghost Centaur by Mat Heagerty (Author) and Steph Mided (Illustrator) (Oni Press, 2021): A delightful graphic novel that focuses on belief, friendship, and a sense of home. While intended for a younger audience, it is still quite enjoyable for adults. 5 stars.
- Snow, Glass, Apples by Neil Gaiman (Author) and Colleen Doran (Illustrator) (Dark Horse Books; Illustrated edition, 2019): A haunting twist on a classic fairy tale. Beautifully drawn and engrossing. 5 stars.
- Cryptid Club by Sarah Andersen (Andrews McMeel Publishing, 2022): Adorable, funny, and, at times, poignant. 5 stars.
- The Invisible Life of Addie Larue by V. E. Schwab (Tor Books, 2020): A deal between a desperate young woman and a dark figure leads to the curse of the freedom to never be remembered until, one day, hundreds of years later, she is. Enthralling, romantic, and deeply meaningful. 5 stars.
