Judging books by their covers, 14

Just want to share some books whose covers I love! Once every 4 weeks, I'll post 4 books and super short synopses of books whose covers catch my eye. 

  1. The Southern Book Club's Guide to Slaying Vampires by Grady Hendrix (Quirk Books, 2020): Steel Magnolias meets Dracula in this New York Times best-selling horror novel about a women's book club that must do battle with a mysterious newcomer to their small Southern town.
  2. A Marvellous Light by Freya Marske (Pan Macmillan, Tor, 2021): A Marvellous Light unfolds in an Edwardian England full of magic, contracts, and conspiracies.
  3. Ace of Spades by Faridah Àbíké-Íyímídé (Feiwel & Friends, 2021): Gossip Girl meets Get Out in Ace of Spades, a YA contemporary thriller by debut author Faridah Àbíké-Íyímídé about two students, Devon & Chiamaka, and their struggles against an anonymous bully.
  4. Lumi the Cloud Princess by Naza Semoniff (Independently published, 2024): A magical, heartwarming journey through the skies, perfect for dreamers of all ages.
