Book series to TV show, 13: The Tea Dragon Society

Every four weeks, I will be writing about a book series that I think could make a great TV show.

The Tea Dragon Society trilogy written and illustrated by K. O'Neill is, in a word, wonderful. The trilogy follows a blacksmith apprentice as she learns of the world of tea dragons and those that love them. The writing is delightful and delicate as are the illustrations.

I think The Tea Dragon Society could be a lovely TV series. I think it would have to be animated because I would hate to see O'Neill's art style fade away from the content. It would be a relatively low-stakes (or cozy) show, but there's nothing wrong with that. It has magical elements, adorably small dragons, and loving relationships both platonic and romantic.

I think viewers would skew younger, but that older viewers could find peace from it. It would be a pleasant, inclusive respite.
