Lore Olympus: Volume Six by Rachel Smythe

Persephone is now a traitor--or so Zeus proclaims. But Hades isn't about to let something as trivial as Zeus's whims sway him, and so he hosts Persephone in his realm. While careful to maintain boundaries, Hades and Persephone grow closer, opening up about their pasts. Meanwhile, tensions arise across the world of the gods because of Persephone, Hades, and their bond. Finally, there are rumblings of hidden plans yet to be fully revealed or to come to fruition.

Lore Olympus is an incredible series. With sumptuous illustrations, Rachel Smythe portrays a world that, while clearly borrowing heavily from mythology, is creative and modern. Smythe's storytelling also illustrates raw emotions from the awkwardness and joy of new relationships to the trauma and pain of past ones. This latest volume is no different and fits perfectly within the series while making readers eager for the next volume.
