Just to get through some backlog of books I've read, I'll post 4 super short reviews of backlist titles every Wednesday.

1. The Gracekeepers by Kristy Logan (Crown, 2015): Eerie, sad, yet somehow uplifting. 4 stars.
2. Scarlet Women: The Scandalous Lives of Courtesans, Concubines, and Royal Mistresses by Ian Graham (Thomas Dunne Books, 2016): Intriguing collection of short biographies. 4 stars.
3. The Sandman, Vol. 1-4 by Neil Gaiman (DC Comics, 1989): Evocative art and story, but not for the squeamish. 4 stars.
4. Economical Writing Second Edition by Deirdre N. McCloskey (Waveland Pr Inc, 1999): A good book on how to write well. 4 stars.
