Holly Quick Backlist Reviews, Bookman!: Week 29

Just to get through some backlog of books I've read, I'll post 4 super short reviews of backlist titles every Wednesday.

  1. Meddling Kids: A Novel by Edgar Cantero (Doubleday, 2017): My favorite book. Readers will be pulled in by the influence of Scooby-Doo, but will stay for the humor, the great characters, the supernatural mystery, and the realness of it despite it all. 5 stars.
  2. The Women in the Castle: A Novel by Jessica Shattuck (William Morrow, 2017): Intense themes of guilt and responsibility. 4 stars.
  3. How to Fight Presidents: Defending Yourself Against the Badasses Who Ran This Country by Daniel O'Brien (Author) and Winston Rowntree (Illustrator) (Crown, 2014): Hilarious, fascinating, and inspiring. 5 stars.
  4. Night of the Living Trekkies by Kevin David Anderson (Quirk, 2010): A fun ride. 4 stars.
