Holly Quick Backlist Reviews, Bookman!: Week 28

Just to get through some backlog of books I've read, I'll post 4 super short reviews of backlist titles every Wednesday. 

1. The Hound of the Baskervilles by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (George Newnes Ltd, 1902): A decent mystery. 3 stars.
2. Orphan Island by Laurel Snyder (Walden Pond Press, 2017): A well-written but tragic book about growing up. 4 stars.
3. Shadow of the Lions: A Novel by Christopher Swann (Algonquin Books, 2017): A promising beginning, but a disappointing end. 3 stars.
4. The Golem and the Jinni: A Novel by Helene Wecker (Harper, 2013): An excellent fantasy novel. 4 stars.
