Holly Quick Backlist Reviews, Bookman!: Week 25

Just to get through some backlog of books I've read, I'll post 4 super short reviews of backlist titles every Wednesday.

  1. Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI by David Grann (Doubleday, 2017): A horrific history adeptly and justifiably uncovered. 5 stars.
  2. The Bear and the Nightingale: A Novel by Katherine Arden (Del Rey, 2017): Solid fantasy based on Russian folklore. 4 stars.
  3. Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Parts 1 & 2, Special Rehearsal Edition Script by J.K. Rowling (Author),‎ Jack Thorne (Author),‎ and John Tiffany (Author) (Little, Brown, 2016): Feels like serviceable fan fiction. 3 stars.
  4. Lissa: A Story about Medical Promise, Friendship, and Revolution by Sherine Hamdy (Author), Coleman Nye (Author), and Caroline Brewer (Illustrator) (University of Toronto Press, 2017): An interesting and academic-leaning graphic novel. 4 stars.
