Books on my to-read list, 9

Just want to share some books I'm looking forward to! Once every 4 weeks, I'll post 4 super short previews of books I'm excited to read.

  1. Black Sun by Rebecca Roanhorse (S&S/Saga Press, 2021): An “engrossing and vibrant” (Tochi Onyebuchi, author of Riot Baby) first book in the Between Earth and Sky trilogy inspired by the civilizations of the Pre-Columbian Americas and woven into a tale of celestial prophecies, political intrigue, and forbidden magic.
  2. That Night in the Library: A Novel by Eva Jurczyk (Poisoned Pen Press, 2024): A chilling literary mystery that transports readers to a world where secrets live in the dark, books breathe fears to life, and the only way out is to wait until morning.
  3. The Charm Offensive: A Novel by Alison Cochrun (Atria Books, 2021): In this witty and heartwarming romantic comedy, an awkward tech wunderkind on a reality dating show goes off-script when sparks fly with his producer.
  4. Somewhere Beyond the Sea by TJ Klune (Tor Books, 2024): A story of resistance, lovingly told, about the daunting experience of fighting for the life you want to live and doing the work to keep it.
