Judging books by their covers, 25
Just want to share some books whose covers I love! Once every 4 weeks, I'll post 4 books and super short synopses of books whose covers catch my eye.
- The Friday Bookshop by Sawako Natori (Author) and Yui Kajita (Translator) (Berkley, 2026): Welcome to the Friday Bookshop, a cozy little bookstore tucked inside a rustic train station north of Tokyo. Rumor has it, you’ll find the perfect book there—one that you need at that particular moment, even if you don’t know it yourself...
- Drown the Bones by Alexandra Kennington (Berkley XO, 2026): The spare heir must work with an enemy prince to discover who murdered her twin in this gripping slow-burn romantasy.
- The Trial of Magdalena Overmorrow by Caitríona Moran (G.P. Putnam's Sons, 2026): Scholar. Healer. Harlot. In her house, the villainy is her. This novel is a sweeping enemies-to-lovers debut with both historical depth and fantastical allure.
- Cursekeeper: A Novel by Alexandra Christo (Atria Books, 2026): A sweeping romantasy of star-crossed lovers in which a human guardian for a library of curses and a fallen Fae form an uneasy alliance to unravel a dark conspiracy that threatens war.
