Judging books by their covers, 4

Just want to share some books whose covers I love! Once every 4 weeks, I'll post 4 books and super short synopses of books whose covers catch my eye.

  1. I Thought This Was a Bear Book by Tara Lazar (Author) and Benji Davies (Illustrator) (Aladdin, 2015): When an alien crashes into the story of "The Three Bears," it's a laugh-out-loud adventure and a classic storybook mash-up!
  2. Pop Sonnets: Shakespearean Spins on Your Favorite Songs by Erik Didriksen (Quirk Books, 2015): The Bard meets the Backstreet Boys in Pop Sonnets, a collection of 100 classic pop songs reimagined as Shakespearean sonnets.
  3. Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi (Henry Holt and Co., 2018): They killed my mother. They took our magic. They tried to bury us. Now we rise.
  4. The Power by Naomi Alderman (Little, Brown and Company, 2017): In this stunning bestseller praised as "our era's Handmaid's Tale," a fierce new power has emerged—and only women have it (Washington Post).
